Fresco workshop for adults, and kids!!!
The workshop’s aim is to offer our guests an experience of pure artistic expression, where the playful element joins the teaching.
The word fresco comes from “a fresco” and it refers to a specific technique of painting on walls, using the fresh plaster as pictorial support, and a chemical reaction as a binder and color fixative.
Both Vitruvius and Pliny (the famous Roman writers) spoke about it, and this proves the ancient origins of this technique.
Its evolution left traces not only in the Italian painting tradition, but also in the Greek, Egyptian, East Asian civilizations.
The choice of subjects will be agreed on together with the teachers, considering the age of the workshop participants. We offer historical examples of the Renaissance, applying fresco techniques (slightly modified by us for practical matters), with the intent to guide you on a journey through time.
We give you all the materials needed: Wooden support, pigments, medium to bind pigments, brusches… and you can take home your masterpiece.
-Kids from 4 years on
